Terms

Use it honestly. That’s the deal.

This is a short, plain-English note — not a legal product and not advice. CardScope is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind.

The service

CardScope estimates how a URL’s link preview may appear on X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, iMessage, Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Microsoft Teams from publicly advertised meta tags. Those apps change their previews without notice. Our previews are close approximations, not official renders, and CardScope is not affiliated with those apps.

Acceptable use

• Only submit URLs you are allowed to request.
• Do not use CardScope to probe private networks, steal data, or hammer other people’s servers.
• Without Pro, you can run a free partial check. It shows the tags on the page and whether og:image and og:title are set. Previews in 11 apps and the full fix checklist require Pro. We may block abuse.

Pro

Pro is a $19 one-time license for unlimited checks, previews in 11 apps, the full fix checklist, shareable report links that last 7 days, and PNG export. It is not a subscription and not a team plan. Need a refund? Reply to the Stripe receipt from your purchase and we’ll take a look.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits or for a link preview that still looks wrong after you publish.

Changes

We may change these terms or shut the service down. The privacy note explains what we store.
